Wiltshire History Competition

WILTSHIRE HISTORY COMPETITION
.
The Wiltshire Library And Museum Service, with the help of sponsorship by Lloyds Bank, have introduced a new competition for budding historians in the county.
..
The competition's first subject is 'Wiltshire Villages' and entrants may write about a single village or group of villages, and may choose topics as diverse as religion, farming, social life, or any other changes that have taken place during any particular period of time.
.
The Library And Museum Service hopes that the competition will bring much of the as yet unwritten history of Wiltshire to light and that many of the county's unsung local historians will be recognised as a result.
.
The Service also hope to publish the best of the work submitted and all the entries will be placed in the county's local study libraries for use by future researchers.
.
If you would like to enter the Wiltshire History Competition, a leaflet giving details is currently available from libraries or branches of Lloyd's Bank throughout Wiltshire.
