FESTIVAL FUNDRAISER
£60 was raised for the Warminster Festival fund when local historian Danny Howell gave a talk on 100 Years Of Warminster.
Nearly 100 people turned up to hear Danny speak without notes - he just prefers to let things happen.
A popular figure locally, Danny is the author of many publications.On Monday (12 June) at the Athenaeum, he showed slides illustrating some of the events, buildings, street scenes and people who over the last 100 years have made the town what it is today.
Danny gave his talk without charging a fee, and the money for festival funds was raised by an audience collection. He has received the thanks of the Festival '89 organisers.
